Bubble

2025–2026

A macOS multi-model AI desktop companion with isolated windows, global hotkeys, native window behavior, and screen-capture resistance.

Bubble is a Python / macOS desktop AI companion that wraps multiple AI services in a lightweight desktop app. It is designed for heavy AI users who want less friction than switching between many browser tabs and accounts.

The project is a major rewrite based on an open-source project, with only a small part of the original retained. Public copy therefore says “majorly rebuilt from an open-source base” instead of claiming it was built entirely from scratch.

The core features are isolated multi-window sessions, Command+G global switching, multi-window management, fast background loading, and screen-capture resistance for meetings or recording scenarios. The current public scope only claims macOS support.

Its privacy framing is a lightweight web-wrapper model: data flows between the local app and the configured AI providers. There are no public adoption metrics, so this page focuses on product behavior and technical boundaries.
