Quqi was an aggregation site for users in China on nineAI. I built admin, multi-model chat, multimodal, payments, WeChat login—name, logo, site, real users. Operating it taught the wrapper squeeze: APIs get pricier, users comparison-shop. Effort doesn’t fix the seat. Shut it down. No regrets—every later project spends that tuition.
